Journal # 7- Wednesday, 12/17

"All of us can become discouraged it is important to know, when you feel down, that many others do also and that their circumstances are often much worse than ours. And it is important to know that when one of us is down, it becomes the obligation of his friends to give him a lift."

How can we become discouraged?
How can you feel down?
How can others' circumstances be worse than ours?
Why when one us is down it becomes the obligation of his friends?
How can we give them a lift?

I think what the quote means with becoming discouraged it means that we become afraid of everything and we are afraid of going out to the real world. and when you feel down it means that you feel depressed. And their circumstances can be worse than ours in the way that it would be more difficult for them to get over them. And when one of us feels down it becomes the obligation of his friends to give him a lift or to cheer him up. So this is what I think this quote means.

This quote could be applied to real life because when someone feels depressed because something is going wrong in his life there are more people that are more depressed than him. Like if he feels depressed just because someone left him that is not so important as if you are loosing your house and you cannot pay for it. So this is how this quote would apply to the real life.
